Ongoing Peer to Peer Tutoring
- Jagtime Tutoring (Monday-Thursday)
- Athletic Study Hall (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
NHS Falls Church Chapter Point System
Peer to Peer (late bus day after school tutoring) is an expectation; therefore, you will receive a point (1) for assigned after school tutoring.
Athletic Study Hall(after school) is an expectation; therefore, you will receive one point (1) for the assigned tutoring.
Collaboration Tutoring(during the school day) is also an expectation; therefore, you will receive half a point (.5) for the assigned tutoring.
All tutoring must be signed off on by either Mrs. Napoliello or Ms. Sokol after verification.
Ushering (voluntary) at events: plays and music concerts, is fun and results in free admission to the event; therefore, one point (1) will be given for the time given.
Box Office(voluntary) requires more of a commitment, you also do not get to watch the event; therefore, two points (2) will be earned for each night worked.
Back to School Night(voluntary) generally requires three hours of smiling and guiding; therefore, one point (1) will be earned for the time given.
New Student Orientation (voluntary) gives you the opportunity to set the tone for the new students for the year; therefore, one point (1) is earned.
Stuffing Envelopes(voluntary) during the summer for guidance. This is an act of love and therefore you will earn one point (1) per day. Verification is given by Mrs. Devolites.
Distributing Student Packets (voluntary) one (1) point will be given for each day. Verification by Mrs. Devolites.
Science Fair Ushering(voluntary) after school you will earn half a point (.5). Verification by Ms. Sokol.
Coffee House Cabaret (voluntary) serving, smiling, and clean-up one (1) point to two (2) points will be earned.
Blood Drive (voluntary) points will vary depending upon the position from half a point (.5) up to five points (5).
Painting Bathrooms and Hallways points will vary depending upon the position and time spent from half a point (.5) to three (3).
Award Assembly Ushering (voluntary) during the school day one (1) point will be earned.
Graduation Ushering (voluntary) requires two hours of smiling you will earn one (1) point.
Other Volunteer Opportunities as they arise will be given half a point (.5) to three (3) points.
Officers and Committee Chairs will receive points (.5 to 10) dependent upon quality, follow-through, and completion of project.
Out of school volunteering must be verified by the sponsor.
No points will be given for class assignments.
